The Upskill workshop is open to practising jewellery artists, and participants are selected via an Open Call application. Monthly group and individual coaching sessions will be conducted via video conferencing from February to July, including lectures and discussions on current practices and challenges.
Applications are open! Applications close at midnight on 19 January; the results will be communicated by 26 January.
The NJW UPSKILL workshop from tutor and mentor Peter Deckers, is designed to provide technical support, expertise, feedback, and hands-on training for New Zealand jewellery graduates. It offers a tailored blend of theoretical insights, technical expertise, and practical experience to enhance participants skills.

Peter Deckers will select eight participants for the workshop, which will run from February to June 2025. The sessions will be tailored to each participants skill level and experience, providing direct feedback during the workshop days, as well as through video conferencing and email. Additionally, online lectures will cover contextual, conceptual, technical, and presentation theories.
