WHAKATŪ, AOTEAROA

Triennial Jewellery Celebration

Events

Adorn yourself in your favourite family jewels and join us to celebrate He momo, nā te whānau: it’s a family trait — The 2nd Aotearoa Jewellery Triennial. Join the extraordinary artists included in the show, in this catered event hosted by The Suter. Continue the evening with The Family Jewels Records mighty dance party at Deville Cafe.

In He momo, nā te whānau makers from across Aotearoa consider how contemporary jewellery can be used as a medium to respond to notions of intangible inheritance. The artists in He momo, nā te whānau are Andrea Daly, Areta Wilkinson, Chris Charteris, Grace Yu Piper, Jane Dodd, Jen Laracy, Joe Sheehan, Keri-Mei Zagrobelna, Matthew McIntyre Wilson, Octavia Cook, Renee Bevan, Sione Monū, Victoria McIntosh and Warwick Freeman.

He momo, nā te whānau is curated by Sian van Dyk and is a collaboration between Te Manawa, The Suter and Makers 101. It is generously supported by Creative New Zealand.
